Julia Samojlo

Julia Samojlo is a Polish pianist of the highest calibre who has built an enviable reputation as a talented soloist as well as an accompanist to other musicians. After studying at The Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, she continued her studies at The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and is currently taking part in an Erasmus exchange DMA at The Guildhall School of Music in London.

Julia has performed widely in Europe and Israel and won first prizes at The International Competition of Young Performers in Athens and the World Premier Competition (Tel Hai International Piano Master Classes, Israel).

Her wide repertoire consists of compositions ranging from baroque to 21st century music. She has performed several world premieres and regularly plays works by renowned Polish composers, including Zygmunt Krauze, Wojciech Kilar and Krzysztof Knittel. As a dedicated chamber musician, she has founded a duo with cellist Karolina Jaroszewska and appears in concerts of new and experimental music with percussionist Leszek Lorent.
