Yaroslava Trofymchuk

Yaroslava Trofymchuk began her cello studies in Ukraine at the age of six with Professor Alina Kuhn at the Specialized Music School in Rivne. In 2011 she graduated from the Lusenko Music School in Kiev and continued her studies at the National Music Academy of Ukraine with Professor Elena Chervova.

Yaroslava is currently studying in her 3rd year of Undergraduate program as a scholar at the Royal College of Music under Professor Thomas Carroll, supported by Geoff and Carole Lindey Award, The Zetland Foundation and the Albert Cooper Foundation.

In the last few years she has been an award winner in various competitions, such as 1st International Competition named after E.Stankovich, winner of the IV International Lysenko Competition and winner of the competition “Best Performer” award – Charles Jacqueau cello.

She has participated with a number of International Youth orchestras, including the CEI Youth Orchestra, I Culture Youth Orchestra and Gustav Mahler Jugendochester.

As a soloist and with chamber ensembles, Yaroslava has performed in Italy, France, Ukraine, England, Poland and Russia.
